Two township men are facing charges related to underage drinking after South Brunswick Police responded to reports of a loud party this weekend.
Darryl Martin, 18, was charged underage drinking, and Michael Acevedo, 27, was charged for allowing underage consumption.
At 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning, officers responded to 1 Villinova Drive after a loud party was reported. Police arrived at the residence to find numerous people in the front and rear of the home.
Officers observed alcohol being consumed by the attendees and believed several of them to be under the legal drinking age. The party was then dispersed, but Martin was "belligerent and uncooperative," according to South Brunswick Police spokesman Sgt. Jim Ryan. Martin was subsequently arrested for underage drinking.
Acevedo, whose mother was out of the country on vacation, was issued a summons for allowing underage consumption at the party.
