Conditions are very hot and humid which are a few of the ingredients leading to an unstable atmosphere Wednesday afternoon in South Brunswick.
A few storms are still expected to pop-up this late this afternoon and this evening, and with conditions as unstable as they are, very heavy rain and even localized gusty winds are possible in the event of a storm. T his threat runs mainly from 3 p.m. until 12 a.m. late tonight.

A bigger threat exists for very heavy rain and potential flooding comes later tomorrow and tomorrow night. This heavy rain threat comes ahead of the tropical system arthur which is expected to pass just off the coast late on the 4th.
