UPDATED: South Brunswick Police Searching for Suspect Who Robbed 7-Eleven this Morning

Suspect used a knife to rob store located at Route 27 and Beekman Road.

South Brunswick Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place in the early morning hours on Wednesday at the 7-Eleven on Route 27.

At about 4:15 a.m. a male suspect entered the 7-Eleven, located at 3222 Route 27 in Kendall Park at intersection of Beekman Road. The suspect brandished a knife and demanded money from the cashier, police said.

The suspect then ordered the employee to open the cash register and to give him the money it contained. The man took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the store across Route 27 into Franklin, police said.

Police said the suspect is about 5'10" to 6" tall, with a slim build and was wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt (see photo). 

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Det. Jeff Russo at (732) 329-4646. Callers can remain anonymous by calling CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-939-9600. Callers through crime stoppers may receive a cash reward if the information leads to an arrest or indictment.
