South Brunswick Man Killed in Weekend Crash on Route 130

A 28-year-old Monmouth Junction man died after his vehicle was struck at the intersection of Raider Road and Route 130 in North Brunswick early Saturday morning.

An early morning motor vehicle accident in North Brunswick on Saturday left a South Brunswick man dead and three others injured.

Rayshone Meyers, 28, of Monmouth Junction, died after the car he was driving was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of Route 130 and Raider Road in North Brunswick.

According to North Brunswick Police, at 4:17 a.m. Saturday, Meyers was coming out of the jughandle attempting to drive south on Route 130 when his vehicle was struck by a 2003 Ford Explorer headed north.

Meyers was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. The passenger in Meyers' vehicle, Timothy McDougald, of Somerset, was also taken to the hospital suffering from head injuries. McDougald is expected to be "okay," according to North Brunswick Police Lt. Gina Braconi.

The passengers in the other vehicle, Juan Montese of Jamesburg, and Laura Laurgano-Gonzalez, whose address was not available, suffered minor injuries, Braconi said. They were also treated at Robert Wood Johnson.

No charges have been filed and the accident is still under investigation.
