Part of Route 1 Closed Due to Flooding Near Raymond Road

Raymond Road jug handle also closed.

Heavy rainfall on Wednesday has caused Route 1 to flood over at Raymond Road, as of 10:15 p.m. The southbound side of Route 1 is down to one lane, as flooding took out the shoulder and right hand lanes of the roadway. Parts of Raymond Road have also been closed due to flooding, as has the jug handle to Raymond Road off of Route 1.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation has been notified, but there is no estimate as to when the flooded roads will reopen, according to South Brunswick Police.
