Police Searching for Suspect Who Shot Royal Oaks Apartment Resident with Pellet Gun

Suspect reached through rear sliding door and shot Royal Oaks Apartment resident in the face with a pellet gun.

South Brunswick Police are searching for a suspect who shot a Royal Oaks Apartment resident with a pellet gun through the resident's rear sliding door Saturday evening. 

The resident told police he was sitting in his home at around 9:30 p.m. when the suspect reached in through an open rear sliding door and fired a pellet gun at him.

The pellet struck the resident in his lower lip but did not cause injury, according to police. South Brunswick Police officers arrived at the scene and searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The pellet was thrown away by the resident prior to the arrival of officers, police said.
