Missing 12-Year-Old Found in Franklin Township

Ethanuel Williamson went missing from the Hotel Vincenza on Route 1 early Wednesday morning.

South Brunswick Police have located a 12-year-old male who went missing from a Route 1 hotel early this morning. 

Ethanuel Williamson was last seen at the Hotel Vincenza on Route 1 by Deans Lane at 1 a.m. Wednesday. South Brunswick Police spokesman Sgt. Jim Ryan said the child was found in good condition at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday morning at a relative's home in Franklin Township.

Sgt. Jim Ryan said the boy's family had been staying at the hotel for the last two months. After having some kind of argument with his mother, Ethanual stepped out of the hotel room and disappeared, Ryan said.

He was reported missing at 2 a.m., according to police. Authorities from the state and county joined in to locate the missing child.

"Our concern is because of his age, there's heightened awareness," Sgt. Ryan said prior to the child being found. "We have a dozen investigators at the hotel and we're checking the community. New Jersey State Police came with K-9 units and we're also working with the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office to see if we can find where this missing 12-year-old is."

South Brunswick Police praised the efforts of the New Jersey State Police, Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, Middlesex County Sheriff, South Brunswick EMS, Kendall Park Fire Department, and South Brunswick Public Works in assisting to locate the child.
