Police Searching for Brunswick Acres Burglars

Suspects believed to be driving white "painters van."

South Brunswick Police are looking for suspects involved in two burglaries that have hit the Brunswick Acres development in recent weeks.

Both burglaries occurred on weekday evenings, with the suspects primarily stealing jewelry from the master bedrooms of the homes, which were located on Matthew Avenue and Virginia Street. The break-ins have taken place between the hours of 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.

In the most recent theft, police said the suspects forced open a rear slider to gain entry to the home.

Witnesses told police they saw a white "painters van" driving slowly in the area around the time the burglaries occurred. Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen the van or anything suspicious in the Brunswick Acres neighborhood last Wednesday evening to call Det. Mike Pellino or Det. Dennis Yuhasz at 732-329-4000 ext 7496.

“We have increased patrols in the community and are looking for the publics assistance with information," said Chief Raymond Hayducka. "Our aggressive approach to these two burglaries will hopefully identify the suspects responsible and prevent further crimes.”
