Police Release Photos of Storage Theft Suspects

Suspects were able to gain entry to the storage units by manipulating the locks.

South Brunswick Police are continuing to search for two suspects in a series of thefts from a public storage facility on Route 1.

Authorities Monday released two photos of the suspects, who have hit numerous storage lockers at Extra Space Storage on Route 1 and Henderson Road since July. Late last month, a customer with a storage unit at the facility told police he checked on his locker and found it had been ransacked.

The victim told officers that his lock was still on the storage locker, but it had been turned around backwards. Missing from the storage unit was a flat screen television and golf clubs.

A subsequent investigation by Det. Dennis Yuhasz revealed two additional victims, resulting in a missing washer and dryer, an edger and a Schwinn bicycle. Police said the suspects were able to break into the storage units by manipulating the exterior locks without using force.
