South Brunswick Police alerted residents Thursday to a burglary pattern that revealed itself over the course of three residential burglaries in the township since August.
The most recent incident took place on Oct. 5, with homes broken into on Degas Drive, Waverly Place, and Black Gum Drive. In each of the break-ins, the suspects gained entry into a single family home through the rear or front window of the residence.
The suspects then ransacked the bedrooms of the homes and stole jewelry and electronics in each incident.
Police said the burglaries were unique in that the break-ins took place on a Friday or Saturday evening when many people are home. Detectives believe the suspects may have advance knowledge of the residences they've broken into, according to police.
Residents are asked to be alert to any suspicious activity they witness on Friday and Saturday evenings and to alert the authorities at 732-329-4646 if they observe anything unusual in their neighborhood.
