Kendall Park Man Charged in Connection to Blackhorse Lane Burglary

South Brunswick Police charge Anthony Borelli with receiving stolen property after finding him hiding in bedroom closet.

A 31-year-old township man was charged last week in connection with the burglary of a Blackhorse Lane residence in July.

Anthony Borelli, of Kendall Park, was charged with receiving stolen property after South Brunswick Police arrested him on Friday.

Borelli was sought in connection with a July 23 break-in, where he allegedly broke into the Blackhorse Lane home and then sold the stolen items to people he knew, police said.

Authorities were able to recover a stolen crossbow Borelli allegedly sold to a North Brunswick man.

During the investigation, detectives went to one of Borelli's relative's homes in Kendall Park on Friday afternoon. Detectives Ken Herman and Mike Pellino were told by a resident of the home that Borelli was "not around," according to police.

After receiving permission to search the residence, detectives found Borelli hiding in the back of a bedroom closet, police said. He was lodged at the Middlesex County Correction Center on $2,500 bail.

Investigators also believe Borelli is connected to several other area burglaries and are asking for the public's assistance.

If anyone has information about Borelli selling items or asking people to buy items they are asked to call the South Brunswick Police detective bureau at 732-329-4000 ext. 7496.
