Middlesex County Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of Two Boys

Michael Roberson, 42, of Old Bridge Turnpike in East Brunswick was arrested and charged on Monday with one count of aggravated sexual assault and two counts each of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of the children.

A Middlesex County man has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting two boys on separate occasions in his home, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Deputy Chief William Krause of the East Brunswick Police Department announced Wednesday.

Michael Roberson, 42, of Old Bridge Turnpike in East Brunswick was arrested and charged on Monday with one count of aggravated sexual assault and two counts each of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of the children. 

He is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick. Bail has been set at $225,000.

Roberson was charged after one of the victims, now 18, told police he had been sexually assaulted as a child.

Investigator Colin Feneis of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and Detective Crispin Farrace of the East Brunswick Police Department determined that Roberson sexually assaulted the victim on various occasions while he was between the ages of 8 and 13.

The investigation further determined that another child, now a 22-year-old man, had been sexually assaulted on one occasion at the defendant’s home when he was 7 or 8 years old.
