Update: Ridge Road to Remain Closed Through Evening Rush Hour
Downed utility pole closes roadway.
PSE&G cut power to Monmouth Junction around noon today as crews are working on a downed utility pole on Ridge Road. The power was restored to the area shortly thereafter.
South Brunswick Police expect Ridge Road to remain closed through the evening rush hour. Officers will be in the area to assist with local traffic.
Motorists are advised to use Route 522 as an alternative.

Ridge Road is closed Tuesday morning between the Monmouth Junction Post Office and Welcome Farms Road due to a pole being down in the roadway after a motor vehicle crash.
A crew from PSE&G is working on the issue but the closure will last through the morning rush hour. Residents are advised to use Route 522 in order to go to South Brunswick High School.
The road should be reopened around 9 a.m., police said.
