Cops: 3 Males Used Empty Home to do Drugs While Residents Were Away

Officers allegedly found three township males sleeping in an unoccupied home while the owners were away on vacation.

South Brunswick Police said three township males entered a home whose owners were away on vacation and used the residence to do drugs.

Nikko Cicerale, 20, and Jonathan Jacobs, 19, both of South Brunswick, are facing drug charges after they were allegedly found sleeping inside an unoccupied Holly Court home Sunday morning.

At 10 a.m. on Sunday, Officer Nathan Labuda and Sgt. Gary Holsten went to the Holly Court residence after the family had asked police to check on the home while they were away. While checking inside the residence, officers allegedly found a 17-year-old male sleeping on a living room couch.

After contacting the family, police learned that none of the men were allowed in the home.

Police said the three males knew the family was on vacation and where they could find a key to the home. After being transported to police headquarters, the 17-year-old male was turned over to his parents.

Jacobs was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and theft of credit cards. He is being held in the Middlesex County Correction Center in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Cicerale was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and was released after posting $1,000 bail.
