Christmas Burglar Slams Truck into Best Buy Garage Doors
Suspect unable to steal any merchandise after being scared off by store alarm.
An attempted Christmas morning burglary at Best Buy on Route 1 didn't quite go as planned for a holiday thief who tried to use his truck as a means of gaining entry into the store.
At 10:30 a.m. on Christmas morning, police said the male suspect rammed his pickup truck into the garage doors for the Best Buy installation bay on the Stouts Lane side of the building. The store was closed on Tuesday for the holiday.
The suspect then gained entry into the installation bay through the bent garage doors. However, the burglary was thwarted after the suspect set off a motion detector and the alarm went off.
