One Person Injured in Route 1 Crash
Accident at intersection of Henderson Road causes car fire.
A traffic accident on the northbound side of Route 1 at the intersection of Henderson Road sent one person to the hospital Friday morning.
The accident, which occurred shortly after 10 a.m., caused one of the vehicles involved in the crash to catch fire, closing part of Route 1 for about an hour. One person was transported to the University Medical Center of Princeton with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
The Monmouth Junction Fire Department and South Brunswick EMS responded to the crash. Route 1 was reopened at 11:25 a.m.
