Vinny has been making my pizza for over 25 years and I'm not switching now. I just remind people that pizza is a lot like sex, even when it's not great it's still pretty good.

Sorry folks, but the best pizza in the universe is Frank Pepe's Pizzeria Napoletana on Wooster Street in New Haven, CT: 1999: Pepe's was named to the James Beard Foundation's list of "America's Classics". 2006: Pepe's is acknowledged on the History Channel's "American Eats' show as the originator of New Haven-style pizza in 1925. 2009: Pepe's was named the "Best Pizza on Earth" by The Guardian. Connecticut Magazine named Pepe's the best in the state. 2010: Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana was inducted into that Connecticut Hospitality Hall of Fame on December 7, 2010. The second best pizza in the universe is Sally's Apizza on Wooster Street, New Haven, CT. New Haven pizza is the real deal. Disclaimer: I was born in New Haven, CT.

Doesnt matter which restaurant, I have eaten in all of them. It all depends who is making the pizza at the time you are there. Some are not consistent. Delizias is great. Vinnies is around the corner so we eat there a lot, no consistency. Dusals is also good. Lucas in North Brunswicks is best choice but we are talking about South Brunswick. I grew up in Brooklyn so my standards are high. My wife makes the best pizza at home and everyone is missing out.

Joe R You are a man who knows his apizza, (correct spelling). Pepe's is without a doubt the best apizza in the world. However, Modern Apizza located on State St, in New Haven is the second best. It's worth the wait... I too grew up in New Haven.
