It has been a very bittersweet year for me, being this is my fifth and last year in the position as Tournament Director as I move on to focus more on my family.
I am very proud to be part of such a major milestone for the South Brunswick Soccer Club this year. In these past years, some great friendships have been born that I will treasure forever.
I have learned many life lessons and met some very interesting people. I am grateful for the opportunity given to me by the South Brunswick Soccer Club and its people.
The tournament is not the doing of one single person but the collaboration of many dedicated people and I would like to particularly thank Chris Greco and the Jackson Family for working with me so hard for the whole length of my position and standing by me when things got rough.
There are many people to thank and I apologize in advance if I leave anybody out:
Jack Presti – My first year was very difficult and many times I wanted to throw in the towel but I got better and stronger and I grew a thicker skin thanks to you. I don’t know what I have would have done without you this past weekend. I owe you!
Rose Greco – The T-Shirt Queen! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Maureen Apicella- we joined together and now it is time to say goodbye.
Frank Selamie – my ICE-MAN!
Scott Landrieu – You were the first coach that ever thanked me for my job. I respect you for that. I still have your email. J
Ben Bollaci – TAKE A DEEP BREATH! Just saying…lol.
Our current boardmembers – I have never seen so many people show up to a tournament meeting. Thank you!!!
Steve Roman – our referee assignor-Without our wonderful referees our tournament would not run as smooth as it dids.
Our wonderful volunteers- keep up your good deed!
Tom Morris and the Rec Department- thank you for always being so helpful. We are always able to count on you!
John Bruff and the Board of Education- thank you for allowing us to use our wonderful Crossroads Middle School fields.
Chief Ray Hayducka and the SBPD-thank you for keeping us safe!
Monmouth Junction First Aid Squad-unfortunately we had to call you over the years but you do such a great job!
A big thank you to all our sponsors!
Of course we can’t forget our visiting teams. I hope you enjoyed a great weekend of soccer.
Last but not least, a big thank you to my very patient husband and children. I am home now! I love you!
I wish everybody good luck in the future and maybe we see each other again, somewhere on a soccer field.
Set A Good Example,
Sandra Villano, South Brunswick Soccer Club Tournament/Fundraising Director
