The South Brunswick Police Athletic league (SBPAL) 4th Grade Vikings boys basketball team participated in The North Brunswick Mayors Cup on the 15th and 16th of February. Winning the championship by defeating a tough North Brunswick Raiders team.
The 10U South Brunswick PAL victory brings the Mayors Cup to South Brunswick after a long hiatus. The Mayors Cup will be held at the municipal building for period of one year. South Brunswick will have to defend the title again in 2015.
The team was led by coaches Gene Holmes , Sid Coleman, Kevin Kessler and Andre Porch. The winning players: Saumit Kale, Ryan Kessler, Vamsi Mandava, Jay Nadkarni, Matthew Nurse, Vyas Pujari, Ishan Shetty, Anurag Tilwe, Yathin Vemula and Norris Yip.
