Obit: Myron E. Brower

Brower died Jan. 20 at the age of 79.

Myron E. Brower died Monday, Jan. 20 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick.  He was 79.

Born in Orange, he resided in Sayreville before moving to East Brunswick several years ago.

Prior to his retirement in 1992, he was a machinist/quality control supervisor for EI DuPont in Parlin, where he worked for 27 years, and was a member of the 25 year club.

He was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War, and was a former member of the Sayreville VFW.

He was a communicant of St. Bartholomew RC Church, East Brunswick.

He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Riesener Brower, and by three brothers, Frederick, Albert and Gail.

Surviving are five daughters, Christine Brower of Bear, DE, Susan and her husband David Asbaty of Pawleys Island, SC, Bernadette and her husband Michael Armstrong of Kendall Park, Robin and her husband George Copertino of Keansburg, and Lori and her husband Richard Albanese of Whitehouse Station; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Brett, Tyler, Casey, Brian, Sarah, Marissa, Siena, and Angelina; and six great grandchildren, Allison, Samantha, Ashley, Matayas, Lucas, and Aubree.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew Church, East Brunswick. Private cremation will follow.  

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
