Obit: Jean Sicknick

Sicknick was Recycling Coordinator in East Brunswick for 20 years.

Jean Scalia Sicknick passed away on Nov. 22, 2013 at Brandywine Assisted Living, Princeton, after a long battle with ALS.  She was 75.

Born in New Brunswick, she resided in East Brunswick for most of her life. Prior to her retirement in 2002, she was the Recycling Coordinator for the Township of East Brunswick for 20 years. 

Surviving are her two sons, Joseph and Denise South Brunswick, and James and Michelle of South Brunswick; a daughter, Carol and Dan of South Brunswick; a brother, Larry and his wife Phyllis Scalia of Florida; a sister, Mary Genco of Franklin Township; and three grandchildren, Samantha, Olivia and Griffin.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.  Entombment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday 7-9 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association Greater NY Chapter, 42 Broadway, Suite 1724, New York, NY  10004.
