Obit: Emily Travers

Travers was born on Valentine's Day, 1934 in East Brunswick

Emily Theodora Crandall Travers died Jan. 2 at the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge.  She was 79.

Born on Valentine’s Day, 1934 in East Brunswick, she was an East Brunswick resident for most of her life.

Prior to her retirement several years ago, she was a licensed practical nurse at The Elms of Cranbury Nursing Home for over 15 years.

She was a member of the Spotswood Reformed Church, where she was a member of the Elizabethan Circle.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Travers, Jr. and two brothers, Timothy Crandall and Dennett Crandall.

Surviving are a daughter, Grace and her husband Lou Marisi of Bordentown; a son, Eugene III of Woodbridge; two grandchildren, Aaron and his wife Jen, and Gina; and two great granddaughters, Aria and Skylar.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.  

Cremation will follow at the Crematory at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
