Barbara Rusinko Christiansen died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 81.
Born in Edgewater, she resided in East Brunswick for 46 years.
Prior to her retirement in 1992, she was an executive secretary with Ingersoll Rand in East Brunswick for 10 years.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church Milltown, and was the Center Stage Dance and Theater School's number one fan, where her daughter teaches and her grandchildren dance.
Surviving are her husband, Rene; a son, Joseph of Kendall Park; a daughter, Sue and her husband Bruce Garahan of East Brunswick; and four grandchildren, Paul, Sean, Shannon and Tristan.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown.
Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2600 Route 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
