ABC Weatherman to Speak at SBPL Gala

Emmy Award-winning meteorologist Bill Evans to speak at annual South Brunswick Public Library Gala Book and Author Dinner.

A familiar face will be coming to South Brunswick as part of the library's annual gala fundraiser and author dinner.

Emmy Award-winning senior meteorologist and author Bill Evans will be the featured speaker at the South Brunswick Public Library Foundation's Gala Book and Author Dinner in October. Evans appears regularly on W-ABC's Eyewitness News in the Morning and Eyewitness News at noon. He has also appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America, ESPN Sports Center, How Stuff Works on the Discovery Channel, and Live with Regis and Kelly, among others.

Evans recently turned his weather knowledge into literature with the release of his book Category 7: The Biggest Storm in History, a work of fiction co-authored by Marianna Jameson in 2007.

The pair went on to co-write two more novels together, Frozen Fire (a sequel to Category 7), and Dry Ice. Evans recently released his fourth and fifth novels, Blackmail Earth, a tale of environmental terror and pollution, and an educational book for middle school students titled It’s Raining Fish and Spiders.

The gala will be held on Oct. 4, at Pierre’s Restaurant, located at 582 George’s Road in Monmouth Junction.

Cocktails will be served at 6:30 p.m. with dinner and rest of the program getting started at 7 p.m.
