Santa Comes to South Brunswick This Weekend

Children can meet Santa at the Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Department and VFW Post 9111 Saturday and Sunday.

The Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring Meet Santa Day on Saturday Dec. 15. The event will take place at the firehouse at 573 Ridge Road from noon to 3 p.m. Children can meet Santa, get a picture taken with him, enjoy cookies, and see the fire trucks.

The fire department is asking for people attending the event, to bring non perishable food items and toy donations. These donations will allow the fire department to help the Toys for Tots program and the South Brunswick Food Bank.

PBA Local 166 and FOP Lodge 51 are sponsoring the annual Meet Santa Day this Sunday Dec. 16. The event will be held at VFW Post 9111 on Henderson Road near Route 27.

Children can meet Santa, get a picture with him, and receive a small gift. Cookies and beverages will be provided.

“This is a great time of year and an event that a lot of children look forward to," said PBA President and Santa Day Chairman Angelo Zecca. "We have been doing it now for more than 15 years and each time it is a big success.”

The event runs from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The event is open to all members of the community.
