Council will award a bid for the renovations to the South Brunswick Senior Center. The township will hold a memorial service commemorating Sept. 11 before the council meeting at 7 p.m.

Wednesday

Need to calm and focus?  Experience the Serenity of T'ai Chi Chih: Joy thru Movement.  This is a gentle, moving meditation that is great for beginners, with many health benefits. 

Thursday

Stories and Activities - Children with ASD (All Ages) and their Families, , 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 4:30 p.m.

Enjoy stories, stacking games, craft and other activities which can improve hand-eye coordination, develop bilateral proficiency, as well as reading and math skills. Siblings welcome. Open to South Brunswick library card-holding families.

Friday

, 200 Forsgate Dr, Monroe, 10 a.m.

Home Care Assistance and PNC Bank, both of Monroe, have teamed up to bring all of the information that you’ll ever need for planning for the future to one location.  On Friday professionals will be available to discuss and answer questions about financing retirement, long-term care insurance, in home care, being a family caregiver, and how to promote health and wellness for aging loved ones.  A Registered Nurse will be on-site to provide complimentary blood pressure screenings.  Complimentary copies of the Home Care Assistance book series including Happy to 102, The Handbook of Live-In Care, and From Hospital to Home Carewill be available. Lance Abramowitz, who serves as the Regional Director for Home Care Assistance stated, “There are so many options when it comes to financing retirement and long term care and just as many when it comes to selecting health care.  My goal is to educate the community to ensure that everyone has pertinent information in order to make informed decisions.”
