The National Leadership Conference that these students attended over the summer, hosted over 9,000 of the country’s best and brightest youth who showcased their talents as future business leaders. SBHS FBLA extends its hearty congratulations to these winners and to every participant that made it to the national level.

“There is no better experience than getting up on stage to accept an award for an event you spent months studying for while thousands of fellow future business leaders cheer you on," said member of the National Treasurers Council for FBLA, Raj Desai. "That by itself could have made the entire experience.”

In addition, students immersed themselves in educational workshops, networked with students from across the country, and attended motivational keynote speeches on a broad range of business topics.

Akila Devi, another participant at the National Leadership Conference said the conference “was an unforgettable experience."

Students also used this conference as a networking opportunity meeting professionals from around the country and students from all different backgrounds.

South Brunswick FBLA was even honored as a Gold Seal chapter, a distinction given to outstanding local chapters that have actively participated in projects and programs identified with the goals of FBLA-PBL, at this conference.

With all these accomplishments to start the new year with, South Brunswick FBLA has created great momentum. The enthusiasm of the many students who attended their first meeting of the year only foreshadows SBHS FBLA’s future accomplishments and contributions to South Brunswick as a community.

The next few meeting dates are scheduled for Oct. 30 and Nov. 14. Many eager members will have the opportunity to sign up for the very same competitive events that South Brunswick has performed exceptionally, in the years past.
