The Carlock family is raising funds for The 9/11 Widows and Children's Fund and The New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation in Owen Carlock's name.
Carlock was a New York City firefighter for 24 years and lived with 9/11-related health issues before dying on May 23, 2012, according to family.
