Harvest Fair,  362 Georges Rd Dayton, 10 a.m.

There will be a church-wide rummage sale, with everything from clothes for the family to furniture. There will also be games and cool prizes for the kids. In addition, the church will be selling mums, pumpkins, baked goods, coffee, pie, and lunch with burgers and hot dogs. The church will be holding a Tricky Tray raffle with great prizes from Broadway tickets to gift cards.

Friends of Princeton Nursery Lands National Public Lands Day Work Session, 145 Mapleton Rd, Princeton, 2 p.m.

Come out for an afternoon of stewardship in the Mapleton Preserve, former home site of Princeton Nurseries.  Help clear trees and trails by removing vines, invasives, and brush, join the weed, water, and mulch team, or collect litter with the trash crew.  Enjoy fresh air, a free workout, and plenty of camaraderie.

The Green Mobility Show 2012, 41 Airpark Rd, Princeton, 11 a.m.

The Green Mobility Show 2012 will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Princeton Airport. This is the only show in the nation solely devoted to science innovation, green automotive technology, and other carbon-reducing forms of transportation. We hope to showcase, inform, and inspire communities to support the steps needed to improving our environment. On display will be the full range of green modes of transportation: hybrids, EVs, plug-ins, natural gas vehicles, fuel efficient cars, bicycles, motor scooters, public transportation and more. In addition, we’ll have fun hands-on science education activities, food, ice cream, face painting, agility courses, and zumba for kids of all ages. Lots of door prizes. Tickets $10 Adults - Free Kids under 18.

Defensive Driving Class, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 10:15 a.m.

The Defensive Driving Institute of New Jersey will be offering an Official Point and Insurance Reduction Program at the South Brunswick Public Library on Saturday, September 29, in Meeting Room A/B.  Pre-registration and advanced payment are required; you must attend the full day session to be eligible for a point reduction and insurance discount.  The program is taught by a retired Police Lieutenant and Police Academy Driving Instructor.  Free pizza lunch will be provided. This is a paid program that will help the Friends of the South Brunswick Public Library fund library programming.
