Food and Behavior: What's the Connection?

Certified Whole Health Coach and educator Cindy Luisi of iCan Thrive 360 will give an enlightening talk that highlights the relation between diet and behavior, food and mood and intelligence.

What is the influence of our SAD (Standard American Diet) on behavior, IQ, attention and disease?

What is this cascade of neurological brain disorders that are being experienced in the USA?

  • Increases of ADD, ADHD, autism and other behavior problems in our children and increases in Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease as we age?
  • What's a child's food intake got to do with IQ?
  • How do we protect our brains and nourish those of our children?
Whether you are a parent, teacher or grandparent, you will come away with tips and tools, recipes and recommendations to help parents and children make positive changes in their diets.  We explore leading-edge nutritional science to help understand how and why healthy fats and whole foods are so important for brain development and behavior.

This talk is approximately 60-75 minutes long, with 15 min for Q&A.  It is geared to be fun, informative and participative.
