Township Brief: Residential Pickup of Recycling Container Lids

Residents can pick up a lid for their recycling container on the first and third Saturdays in April and May.

Through the New Jersey Clean Communities Program, South Brunswick Township has obtained lids for curbside recycling containers to prevent litter from being blown through neighborhoods.

Residents can pick up a lid for their container at the South Brunswick Recycling Center, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays in April and May.

Residents can now mix paper with bottles and cans in one container as part of the new single stream recycling plan in South Brunswick. The new lids are expected to prevent recyclables from blowing out of containers and littering neighborhoods.
