The Week Ahead in South Brunswick

Events in and around South Brunswick this week.

Monday

, , 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 3 p.m.

A bubble volcano. Bubble roller coaster. A kid in a bubble? Jeff Boyer takes bubbles to the max in this one-man bubble extravaganza. It’s the craziest, most creative bubble show around. Jeff juggles bubbles, sculpts and builds with bubbles, makes fog-filled bubbles and more. He shows kids the science involved in bubbles – why they are multi-clored and what each color says about that part of the bubble. What makes up a bubble? Why are they shaped the way they are? What holds them together? Mixing comedy, music and interactive bubble-magic, he engages and delights audiences of all ages.

What can you do with your old books besides donating them to the library?
Please click here  to get an idea about how creative and fun making Altered Books can be. For more inspiration, put "Altered Books" or "Altered Book Art" into the Google search engine and do an image search and see all of the creative projects that have been done. Click on individual images to get a closer look or to learn more from each of the Altered Book Artists that have their work on the web. Altered books can be created for use as travel journals, photo albums, memory books or scrapbooks or they can be just created as a work of art.  It can be as simple as painting or drawing on single book pages, or as complex as constructing furniture out of books.  They also make great gifts.
