South Brunswick to Commemorate 9/11 Anniversary on Sunday

A ceremony will be held in front of the South Brunswick Municipal Building on Sunday afternoon.

South Brunswick will commemorate the tenth anniversary of 9/11 on Sunday at 1 p.m. in front of the township Municipal Building. 

South Brunswick residents killed in the attacks were Jeffrey Robinson, 38, of Monmouth Junction, Kenneth Ledee, 38, of Monmouth Junction, and Toyena Skinner, 27, of Kingston.  

A fourth man with local ties who was killed on 9/11, Mukul Agarwala, 37, graduated from South Brunswick High School, but was living in New York City at the time of his death.

The ceremony will feature opening remarks from South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond Hayducka, a prayer ceremony by Rabbi Mendy Carlebach, and speeches by Freeholder Carol Barrett Bellante, Mayor Frank Gambatese, Deputy Mayor Chris Killmurray and Councilmen Charles Carley, Joseph Camarota and John O’Sullivan.

The South Brunswick Police Honor Guard, representatives from all of South Brunswick first aid and rescue squads, and all of South Brunswick's volunteer fire departments will also be on hand.
