South Brunswick Fall Leaf Collection Schedule

South Brunswick Township residents are reminded that leaves are banned from the landfill and cannot be collected with the garbage. 

The township expects to vacuum loose leaves in each of four collection areas three times during the leaf season.  Leaves should be raked to the curb (not into the street). 

BY LAW, leaves cannot be placed out more than seven days before the scheduled pick up and cannot be placed within ten feet of a catch basin.  No bagged leaves are permitted. 

Leaves may be delivered to the Township’s brush drop off area located behind Sondek Park.  The area is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.  If this delivery option is chosen, bags must be emptied and removed.

2011 Leaf Collection Schedule

Area 1:  Between Route 27 and Route 1 & between Kingston and New Road Collection:

• Collection Round 1: 10/17*, 10/18, 10/19
• Collection Round 2: 11/2*, 11/3, 11/4, 11/7
• Collection Round 3: 12/6*, 12/7, 12/8

Area 2:  Between Route 27 and Route 1 & between New Road and Beekman Road:

• Collection Round 1: 10/20*, 10/21, 10/24
• Collection Round 2: 11/10*, 11/14, 11/15, 11/16
• Collection Round 3: 12/9*, 12/12, 12/13

Area 3:  Between Route 27 and Route 1 & between Beekman Road & Finnegans Lane:

• Collection Round 1: 10/25*, 10/26, 10/27
• Collection Round 2: 11/18*, 11/21, 11/22, 11/23
• Collection Round 3: 12/14*, 12/15, 12/16

Area 4:  East of Route 1:

• Collection Round 1: 10/28*, 10/31, 11/1
• Collection Round 2: 11/29*, 11/30, 12/1, 12/2
• Collection Round 3: 12/19*, 12/20, 12/21

*IMPORTANT:

Leaves must be raked by 7:30 a.m. the first date in the collection round for pick up during that round. 

Rake leaves to the curb, not into the street, and place leaves no further than 10 feet from the road's edge. 

NO bags, rocks, litter or brush are collected with leaves.

NO collection from commercial properties.

NOTE:  Bagged leaves may be DELIVERED to the Township's Drop Off Convenience Area (NOT the Recycling Center) located behind Sondek Park on New Road.  The Area is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.  BAGS MUST BE EMPTIED AND REMOVED.
