Power Restored for Majority of Residents

PSE&G reporting full restoration for most of South Brunswick could come as soon as tonight

Conditions continue to improve in South Brunswick as the township moves closer to normalcy after Hurricane Irene. The township Office of Emergency Managment is reporting that power has been restored to the majority of residents, with PSE&G reporting that they hope to have the township fully restored to power by this evening. When yesterday began, some 5,000 residents were still without power.

The Oak Woods Senior Residence, which was yesterday after the fire marshall deemed the buidling uninhabitable due to the power outages, has power fully restored and residents are returning to the facility.
