New Week Brings New Heat Wave to Area

No break in sight until at least Thursday.

Just as Sunday ended with powerful thunder and brilliant lightning flashes the week head will be starting with sweltering heat that will settle over most of the area.

At 8:45 on Monday morning the temperature was a manageable 75 degrees but before the day is done that will likely rise to close to 94 degrees according to the National Weather Service.

That trend figures to continue for much of the week with highs in the mid 90's and lows at night settling down to around 70 degrees.
