Tuesday, Feb. 22 

Governor’s annual budget address, 2 p.m., Assembly Chambers, State House, Trenton. Gov. Chris Christie will present the outlines of his proposed 2011-2012 budget to a joint session of the state Legislature.

South Brunswick Township Council, 7:30 p.m., Municipal Building, Route 522, Monmouth Junction. Public hearings on rezoning proposal for Route 1, bond ordinance to install artificial turf at Rowland Park, officially preserve Pulda/Van Dyke Farm on Davidsons Mill Road.

Buy Green, Save Green, 7 p.m., East Brunswick Library, 2 Civic Center Drive, East Brunswick.  Dr. Kevin Lyons, director of purchasing at Rutgers and chairman of the outreach committee for Rutgers Energy Institute, will talk about the environmental impact of buying habits. Park plan review, Mercer County Park Commission, 5:30 p.m., Mountain View Golf Course clubhouse, Ewing. Presentation by consultant ETM Associates regarding interpretive plan for Mercer Meadows (formerly known as Mercer County Park Northwest).

Saturday, Feb. 26

Celebration of Dr. Seuss, 11 a.m., Hightstown Memorial Branch, Mercer County Library, 114 Franklin St., Highstown.

Sunday, Feb. 27

Members-only tea, 2 p.m., South Brunswick Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction. The Friends of the South Brunswick Public Library will hold an afternoon tea for members.
