Major Lincoln Tunnel Delays, Bus Tickets Being Cross-Honored

NJT transit buses facing up to hour-long delays, agency says.

New Jersey Transit buses to and from the Port Authority are facing delays of up to an hour after a disabled tractor-trailer caused major traffic delays at the Lincoln Tunnel Thursday morning.

Bus tickets and passes are being cross-honored on PATH and NJT trains, the agency reported. Some buses may also be diverted to area train stations for rail service to New York City.

The delays were caused when a trailer detached from a truck in the tunnel’s westbound north tube.
