IRS To Hold Taxation Seminar at Middlesex County College

Seminar will cover both individual taxes and business taxes.

In preparation for the 2011 tax-filing season, the Internal Revenue Service in partnership with the NJ Association of Public Accountants (NJAPA), the NJ Division of Taxation will hold a one-day seminar from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at Middlesex County College, 2600 Woodbridge Ave., Edison.

The seminar will be held in Room 100 of the campus College Center.

The one-day seminars will educate and inform tax practitioners on tax law updates for individual taxes and business taxes.

"As New Jersey tax practitioners prepare for the 2011 tax season, the IRS’ annual tax practitioner seminars can help tax professionals position themselves for a successful filing season," said Gregg Semanick, New Jersey’s IRS spokesperson.

The registration fee is $125 in advance and $135 at the door. The registration fee for full-time college students with a valid ID is $15. Eight CPE credits will be issued in Taxation to those who complete the session.
