Health and Safety Fair for Parents of Small Children May 7

Safe Kids are No Accident: Safety and Pre-Schoolers.

The leading cause of death and disability in ages 1-14 years in the US is unintentional injury. All children go through a series of developmental stages.  Pre-school children have an increased sense of independence and begin to explore their surrounding.  They have greater mobility and are curious, but they lack basic decision making capabilities.

Learn what hazards pose the greatest risk to their safety and learn the best ways to keep your child safe and healthy.  Join us at the Health and Safety Fair on Saturday May 7, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the South Brunswick Library.  You will be empowered with resources and information regarding car safety, home safety, summer safety, poison prevention, nutrition and immunizations. This FREE event includes interactive activities for all children and raffles and giveaways for parents.

This event is being sponsored by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Safe Kids Middlesex County, South Brunswick Health Department, NJ Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, and the South Brunswick Library.
