Daytime Ridge Road Closings Continue This Week

Construction on Ridge Road will continue through this week limiting access for motorists.

The roadway will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for approximately one week as roadwork is performed. Motorists should expect delays in the area and follow posted detours.

Patrons of Von Thun’s Farm Market can still gain access to the farm from the Route 522 side of the closure. Residents of Marc Drive and Ridge Road from number 496 to 525 will also be able to gain access from the Route 522 side.

Access for customers to The Nawab Grill, The Grange, Bloomberg, West End Trucking and Freeze will be able to gain access from the Georges Road side of the closure. Ridge Road residents in houses numbered 392 to 494 on Margaret Drive, Madison Place, Julia Way and Helen Drive, will still be able to gain access from the Georges Road side as well.

Residents of Ridge Road who live between numbers 488 and 502 may only have limited vehicle access to their properties at certain times of the day. Those residents are advised to check with the contractor or speak to a police officer, who will be posted at the site, for the specific schedule.
