AIPP Celebrates National Arts and Humanities Month in South Brunswick

An arts based language arts project will be presented during the Aging in Place PARTNERSHIP's Annual Outreach Forum.

The Aging in Place PARTNERSHIP will celebrate National Arts and Humanities Month as part of the Annual Outreach Forum at the South Brunswick Senior Center in the Municipal Complex on 540 Ridge Road, (Rte 522) Monmouth Junction, on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Following last year’s successful “Diversi-Tree” arts project, this year AIPP will provide opportunities to explore a new program, “In a Kaleidoscope,” an arts based, language arts project.  Guaranteed to be fun for all ages, everyone can explore the magic at one or all of the Imagination Stations available throughout the day. The end result will be a multi-tiered clothesline exhibit of beautiful images created on paper to be used in the ongoing, “In a Kaleidoscope,” workshops.

In addition AIPP will introduce, “Continuing Cultural Conversations” a township wide, intergenerational project building on the excitement the Diversi-Tree generated at the 2010 forum.  Pat Worthington, project coordinator will discuss several fun ways she is working with the many diverse communities and how everyone can become a participant.

These projects are made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Aging in Place PARTNERS, including the South Brunswick Senior Center, the Public Library, South Brunswick schools and the Dayton Village Citizens Coalition.
