"This really brings a smile to my face"

Working at Doctors of Dental Medicine for over 20 years, I have heard many stories from our patients.  Working at the front desk this past week, I overheard Louise, our hygienist, speaking to one of her patients.  She mentioned to her that this will be her last flouride treatment since she was now an adult.  My curiosity got to me so I looked at the patient's chart.  She has been a patient at our office since she was three years old.  As I mentioned earlier, she is now an adult and heading off to college.
Getting to know our patients is really one of the aspects I love most about my job.  We have so many long time patients, that when they come into the office it is like catching up with a friend.  It really brings a smile to my face.
