South Brunswick PBA Donates $1k to Food Pantry

South Brunswick PBA Local #166 made a Thanksgiving donation of $1,000 to the South Brunswick Food Pantry.

South Brunswick PBA Local #166 made a Thanksgiving donation of $1,000 to the South Brunswick Food Pantry on Wednesday.

“The storm impacted all of us in the community and we wanted to make sure the food pantry could keep pace with the needs”, said PBA President Angelo Zecca. “The past month has tested all of us, but we have met the challenge as a community working together. We want to keep that spirit of community alive with this donation."

PBA Treasurer Jason Gassman explained that their membership saw firsthand the hardships of so many.

“During those long hours that we were out in the storm we saw people without power, heat, and limited food," Gassman said. "We know that all the suffering did not end when the power came back on."

The PBA realizes that the donation will not eliminate the need, but like so many in the community, they hope the contribution will be part of the recovery.
