South Brunswick Hurricane Sandy Special Brush Pickup

Branches and tree parts must be placed curbside no later than Nov. 19 at 7:30 a.m.

Leaf collection in South Brunswick has been suspended until further notice, as all available resources are being redirected to brush collection.

Brush and branches will be collected curbside by Public Works crews over the coming weeks. Branches and tree parts no larger than 12 inches in diameter
(no stumps) must be placed curbside no later than Nov. 19 at 7:30 a.m.

Material placed curbside after this date will not be collected.

Although pick up will begin on Nov. 19, it may take an extensive period of time to collect the extremely large volumes of material. Residents are asked to be patient. Check the recycling section of the Township web site (http://www.sbtnj.net) for updates.

As an alternative, residents may bring leaves and/or branches to the Township’s Brush/Leaf Drop Off Area located behind Sondek Park, at 473 New Road in Monmouth Junction. The gate will remain open 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Bags must be emptied and removed from the site.

Tree contractors are responsible for debris removal.
