Local Camp Raises $3k for Sandy Victims

Eagle's Landing Day Camp holds 'Rock n' Roll Fun Run' to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy.

With the recent events of Hurricane Sandy, many families and businesses are doing their part to help the victims.

Starting off the new year, Eagle’s Landing Day Camp hosted a Rock n’ Roll Fun Run for the whole family, with proceeds going to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The Fun Run was a day of excitement, with the days events including the Fun Run itself, a challenge course for kids, as well as live music and a silent auction. The event was a success raising over $3,000, which was donated to the non-profit organization RISE.

RISE is a non-profit social service organization that directly supports local families affected by Hurricane Sandy.

“Eagle’s Landing is always extremely proud to help those in need," said Ruth Ann Weiss, one of the camp’s directors. “We want all of our families to give back to the towns they grow up in whenever they can. In these times, we are exited that we can help those less fortunate and have a great time doing it”.
