Zumbathon for Breast Cancer Awareness at YMCA

The South Brunswick Family YMCA will be hosting a Zumbathon this weekend to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

As countless organizations hold events for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the South Brunswick Family YMCA will do their part on Saturday with a Zumbathon event to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

"We're going to have our regular instructors and two guest instructors coming out and will introduce a new form of Zumba," said YMCA Group Exercise Coordinator Kim Zsamba. "We'll also have many vendors coming out like Mary Kay, and will also have cupcakes and baked goods for sale. We're trying to raise as much money as possible for a good cause, which is something our members like to do."

The event will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with three straight hours of non-stop Zumba. There will also be numerous prizes and giveaways. Tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door.

"Our whole mission is to bring members of our community together to work for a good cause," Zsamba said.
