UPDATE: Most Power Restored; Traffic Lights On, But Traffic is Heavy
There is no timetable for power restoration.
A power outage that turned off traffic signals along Routes 130, 522 and 27 is largely over, according to the South Brunswick Police Department.
However, even though power has been restored to much of the township, traffic remains heavy on all township roads, and there is a 10-mile back up on the NJ Turnpike southbound into Exit 8A.
According to police, the power loss was due to a problem at a switching station.
