Sweeney Todd Enters Final Weekend

Playhouse 22 has added an additional performance of the fall smash.

There's still plenty of time to see Playhouse 22's fall hit, "" In fact, your chances to see it just increased.

Playhouse 22 has announced that there will be an additional show added to the slate. Come see the the bonus show tonight, Thursday, Nov. 10, at 8 p.m. This is in addition to performances Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

 “Sweeney Todd” is based on the 19th Century tale of a demonic barber in Victorian London.  The Stephen Sondheim musicial tells the infamous tale of the unjustly exiled barber who returns to 19th century London seeking revenge against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife.  His thirst for blood soon expands to include his unfortunate customers, and the resourceful proprietress of the pie shop downstairs soon has the people of London lining up in droves with her mysterious new meat pie recipe.

“Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” opened Friday, Oct. 28 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 13 at the , 721 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are $22 for Adults and $20 for seniors and students, with group rates available. For more information, visit the theater at www.playhouse22.org or call 732-254-3939.
