South Brunswick's Opera NJ Summer Season
South Brunswick Aging in Place Partnership teams with Opera New Jersey to present a summer filled with musical options.
American Opera Projects
This is AIPP’s fourth year working with Opera New Jersey to bring quality opera to South Brunswick residents via our OPERA Encore programming.
Following last season's exciting workshop premiere of "The Family Room," Opera New Jersey once again joins with Brooklyn-based American Opera Projects to present Blessed Art Thou Amongst Women — staged readings of two virtuosic operatic monodramas meditating on the religious and feminine icon The Virgin Mary: Gregory Spears' Our Lady (from medieval Provençal texts) and Tarik O’Regan's The Wanton Sublime (with a libretto by A. Rabinowitz).
The new works shall be paired with a unique staged performance of Vivaldi's Stabat Mater. There will be talkbacks with the artists and creators after each show.
